FTC Took Biden’s Stupid Shotgun Advice
President Joe Biden has for years now been addled with rapidly advancing dementia.
Even when he wasn’t so addled – he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
Pre-addled Biden once offered self-defense advice so exceedingly stupid – it vibrated with its titanic idiocy:
“If you want to protect yourself – get a double-barrel shotgun. Have the shells for a 12-gauge shotgun. And I promise you – as I told my wife – we live in an area that’s wooded and it’s somewhat secluded.
“I said ‘Jill, if there’s ever a problem? Just walk out on the balcony, put that double-barrel shotgun in the air – and fire two blasts outside the house. I promise you, whosever (sic) is coming in is not going to….’ You don’t need an AR-15. It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use. And in fact you don’t need thirty rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun.”
Except just about everything Biden said – is the exact opposite of correct.
If you “fire two blasts” into the air from a double-barrel shotgun – you’ve emptied it. You now have zero rounds to fire at, you know, an actual target. Whoever is coming in – knows he is now coming in upon a defenseless person.
And a 12-gauge, double-barrel shotgun – packs quite a kick. Its recoil will knock backwards off their feet – a whole lot of the women Biden recommends “fire two blasts” into the air. They’d in fact probably only be able to fire one – because that one will likely do them not insubstantial harm.
An AR-15 is nothing Biden says it is. It is light as a feather – so it is incredibly easy to aim. It has almost no recoil – so it is incredibly easy to use. You almost certainly will not hurt yourself firing it – unless you aim at yourself. And because it holds more than two rounds – you are much better equipped to defend yourself.
Anyone who knows anything at all about firearms – will find Biden’s advice to be REALLY stupid.
The Biden Administration’s Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took the boss’s shotgun advice to heart – at least metaphorically. It has spent the last two years firing an enormous regulatory shotgun at the nation’s economy.
The FTC is indiscriminately firing everywhere. If something in the private sector moves – the FTC fires in its general direction.
Shotguns have what’s known as a “good spread.” The shot pellets spread out – and there’s a LOT of collateral damage inflicted around where you attempt to shoot.
The FTC is inflicting all sorts of damage – and collateral damage – to the economy.
Biden’s choice for FTC Chair – was Lina Khan. Whose promise to get tough on Big Tech – garnered her some Republican support.
Aye, there’s the rub. Republicans voted for Big Tech action – and have gotten shotgun hyper-action. Aimed at every nook and cranny of the economy. Oops.
And on, and on, and….
The FTC’s shoot-happy, rapid-fire, shotgun regulatory approach? Is causing anyone engaged in private commercial endeavors – to halt its private commercial endeavors. For fear of drawing the FTC’s fire – or catching some stray shot.
Because of course.
If you are engaged in commerce – with this hyperactive crazy going on?
Best to keep your head down and do nothing – and wait out the Biden Administration idiocy.
Of course, everyone doing nothing – is AWFUL for the economy.
Now, I am not opposed to any and all FTC action. There are some seriously huge companies – that have required government attention for quite some time.
The aforementioned Big Tech – Google, Apple and Amazon, for starters – absolutely warrants some scrutiny.
But the FTC must put down the shotgun – and pick up a rifle.
For limited, targeted efforts – aimed at specific entities.
Not random, “good spread,” collateral-damaging blasts fired throughout the economy.
